Humanitarian Initiative in Ghana

Whoever observes the actions undertaken by this Zawiyah will notice and feel an amazing flow that runs within the karkariy disciples in the way they follow their Shaykh, Sidi Mohamed Fawzi Karkari QS and the way they apply the principles and teachings of the Tariqa to reach the highest states of realization.

In this regard, the Zawiyah Karkariya dug out, a few days ago, in collaboration with a Ghanaian AISBL, a well at Nanankor, a community of small villages and agricultural hamlets in eastern Ghana where the inhabitants suffer from a glaring deprivation, having only as infrastructure few electrical facilities, poor roads and little to no access to health care. However, like the entire country in which it is located, the greatest need of Nanankor was drinking water, which pushed its population to go fetch their water from the river, an act that constantly threatened their physical safety. 

In their acknowledgement address, the villagers who benefited from this beautiful initiative made a point of emphasizing the solid relations of fraternity that maintain the President of Ghana, Mr. Nana Akufo-Addo, and His Majesty King Mohammed V, May Allah Grant Him Victory. Furthermore, they also expressed their gratitude to the Shaykh of the Zawiyah Karkariya, Sidi Mohamed Fawzi Karkari QS as well as to his Ghanaian disciples.

Amidst the state of joy induced by the completion of work, the inhabitants of Nanankor finally expressed their wish to one day be able to have a mosque, in which they could perform collective prayers
