Humanitarian Initiative in Ajmer, India

Today news of a new humanitarian initiative came to us from the second most populous country on the planet: India! And it is precisely in Ajmer, a city in the province of Rajasthan with more than 600,000 inhabitants and a high rate of poverty, that the local Karkaris distributed important quantities of food to the poor and the needy.

This charitable and humanitarian action, which was carried out in perfect coordination with the Karkariya headquarter in El Aroui, Morocco, was very special. This time, the Karkariya disciples of India conducted their operation with the cooperation of Moinuddin Foundation, represented by its president and founder Syed Ambar Chishty, 17th generation of Shaykh Hazrat Mu'in-ud-Din Chishti QS, one of the most famous Sufis in India and the founder of the Tariqa Chishtiya.

On this occasion, Syed Ambar Chishty replied, in a letter of appreciation addressed to the Shaykh of the Tariqa Karkariya, Sidi Mohamed Faouzi Al-Karkari QS, in which he expressed his deepest thanks for this humanitarian initiative undertaken by the Indian Karkariya disciples. He also invited Sidi Mohamed Faouzi Al-Karkari to visit the maqam of Shaykh Hazrat Mu'in-ud-Din Chishti QS in Ajmer. Finally, he concluded his letter with saying that "[the seekers of the maqam] need the [Shaykh's] guidance and blessings. We would love to take further responsibilities for [the Shaykh] and the mureeds of the Zawiyah Karkariya. My home is open for you and for all the mureeds."
