Karkaris Dig a Well in Tehiri, Cote D’Ivoire
In a hadith, reported by Sayiduna Jabir Ibn Abd Allah (RA) the Prophet ﷺ said: "There is no one who digs a well from which an alive being drinks, whether it is a jinn, a human or a bird without Allah rewarding him on the day of judgment ”.
And it is in accordance with such teachings of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ that the Ivorian Karkariya disciples inaugurated a drinking water well in the town of Tehiri, some 300 km from the Ivorian capital Abidjan.
This humanitarian action which was initiated in perfect coordination with the Zawiyah in El Aroui, Morocco, delighted the inhabitants of this locality for which such an event means the end of their suffering to bring water to their town from distant wells.
This joy, that the Karkari disciples shared with the inhabitants of Tehiri, made them forget for a while the pain and sadness that Anyama experienced, on June 18th, during the landslide following heavy rains and which resulted in the destruction of many homes and displacement of several families. As a reminder, in coordination with the Zawiyah in Morocco, the Ivorian Karkariya disciples had undertaken a humanitarian initiative there for the benefit of the affected families, who benefited from several essential donations such as survival kits, mattresses, bedspreads, food, etc.
As usual on the occasion of such actions carried out by Karkariya disciples, the inhabitants of Tehiri wished to express their gratitude to Shaykh Sidi Mohamed Faouzi Al-Karkari (qs) for "His spiritual education based on universal values of Islam such as brotherhood, social solidarity, and mutual aid".
