Joy Brought to Dave’s Orphanage, Ghana

The manifestations of joy during the days of Eid for Muslims differ according to regional customs. But the main expression of this joy remains the consolidation of family ties through things like family visits.

This year, due to the lockdown imposed by Covid-19, people suffered from difficulty to live a normal life because of the limited mobility and the fear of spreading the disease. One of the solutions that Karkariya disciples found, under the guidance of Sidi Shaykh Mohamed Faouzi Al Karkari (qs), was to organize live dhikr meetings on social networks, in particular on Facebook Live. The main goal was to continue to have a spiritual life and strengthen their relationship with Allah SWT even in these difficult times.

And with Eid knocking on our door, things have not been perfect for some, especially for fragile communities, who are in deep need of material as well as psychological support in these days. The example here is that of the residents of Dave's Orphanage, located in a village near Ho, a town in south-eastern Ghana. And it is to the hearts of these little orphans that the Ghanian Karkariya disciples have brought joy on the day of Eid. Indeed, the past Friday July 31, 2020, some Karkariya disciples from Ghana visited this orphanage and distributed new clothes, which greatly delighted the children. At the end of the event, the orphanage staff expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Tariqa Karkariya and Sidi Shaykh Mohamed Faouzi Al Karkari (qs).
